L'Ecole du Vin - Bordeaux

Land of oenolgy, viticulture and wine tasting, the City of Bordeaux encourages you to discover the history of wine through its various buildings and structures such as the « Cité du Vin » but also « l’Ecole du Vin ».
Founded in 1989 by the interprofessional Council of Bordeaux Wines, the Bordeaux Ecole du Vin invites anyone, amateur or professional, to understand more about wine, its diversities and its vines.
The school takes you to the heart of Bordeaux vineyards through various experiences animated by professionals ; winegrowers, oenologists and cellar masters.
You will be able to discover the art of wine assembly, savour unexpected mixes, and smell the different scents of wine in various workshops inviting you to an unforgettable discovery of aromas.
And what better than a good cheese or chocolate platter, nice little dishes concocted by yourself to accompany your glass of wine ?
Under the chef’s leadership, you will improvise as the sous-chef of the day in the « Oenochef » workshop.
You can also come and unwind after a long day, and spend a pleasant time with friends at the Wine Bar. The menu is frequently renewed offering a selection of thirty wines including reds, rosés, dry and sweet whites, and crémants.
You will be amazed by the architecture of the bar with its bottle walls and stained glass windows!

Open throughout the year, the Ecole du Vin offers different formulas available in French, English and German with two-hour or three-day courses in addition to evening classes.
